Coach Emily has worked with EA since 2018. She moved to Oregon from Maine in 2016, where she joined EA to swim masters. Coach Emily has been competatively swimming since she was 4 years old, and swam Division I for the University of Maine. Coach Emily is EA's primary USMS coach, and works with all levels of our youth team. She believes that the swimmer is more than an athlete and encourages all members of the team to appraoch the sport in their unique way! 

Coach Jennifer has been with the team over 24 years working with various groups of all ages and abilities.  She has worked with the Novice, Age Group, High School and Masters.  Currently her main groups are Turtles and Dolphins, ans Bronze.  Her specialty is stroke mechanics for all 4 strokes.  She is a swimmer herself as well.

Steve Johnson founded Emerald Aquatics over 20 years ago and was it's second coach in 1998 and 1999. Previously Steve coached four other teams and was an assistant coach for Willamette High School for 16 years. Steve currently coaches the Gold and Senior groups for Emerald Aquatics. Steve remains an active masters swimmer and currently holds one masters world record and has held seven United States Masters records. Steve is a former university professor and holds a Ph.D.

Coach Reece joined EA in 2024. He swam competitively for University of Oregon. His favorite events are 50 and 100 Breaststroke. He grew up swimming in Oregon.

Leia is a long time swimmer starting as a youth, swimming in high school, college and with masters as well. She even swam for EA as a youth.  She helps coach our 11:00 masters in the summer.
